I received my law degree, cum laude, from Baylor School of Law in 1986 and was licensed to practice law by the Supreme Court of Texas in 1987. While attending law school, I served in clerkships at two prominent Dallas law firms– Thompson & Knight and Strasburger & Price. I then began practicing law in 1987 as an associate in the Estate Planning Section of Thompson & Knight in Dallas where I learned from mentors recognized among the top estate planning attorneys in Texas.

Following Thompson & Knight, I practiced at the Dallas firms of Doke & Riley and Baker & Botts, developing experience in other areas of law, such as contract law, business litigation, government contract law, health care law, and white collar crime. I then worked as an in-house attorney with Tenet Healthcare, Inc. and Broadlane, Inc.

I maintained interest and increased my education in estate planning and probate through the years by doing estate planning on my own and attending estate planning and probate courses. After moving from Dallas to Trophy Club, I decided to open a boutique law practice dedicated to helping people with estate planning and probate matters.
